PLANNING & SCHEDULING
Increase your on-time performance and throughput while reducing inventory and operating costs.

“It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near one.”

SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial) Advanced Planning and Scheduling

Proper planning and scheduling are the keys to preventing waste of time and materials, bottlenecks, late orders, frustrated executives and unhappy customers.

SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial) APS was designed by people who understand the vital necessities of this aspect of manufacturing and provides:

  • Greater visibility in planning so every order “knows” the jobs and POs it needs, and every supply “knows” the demand it supports
  • Insight into true availability of inventory and resources, such as machines, operators, work centers, tools and facility utilization
  • What-if capabilities to determine the impact of decisions as the system calculates which customer orders will be affected and how projected delivery time frames will change
  • Centralized planning supports site-based, linked MRP and APS, regenerating the plan at each site in order of site priority
  • Explode all assembly schedules into component requirements
  • Consume the forecast with actual orders as they are received
  • Use the master production schedule (MPS) to control production of key end items to help protect your schedule from fluctuations in order-based demand
  • Create purchase orders, jobs or transfer orders automatically with Material Planning Workbench
  • Run Planning for all sites or individual sites
  • Simultaneous materials and resource scheduling – Plans all materials and capacity need to satisfy the customer order
  • Level loads capacity for finite bottlenecks
  • Real-time promise dates – At the time of order entry, obtain a promise date for the order which considers the constraints of both material and capacity

Forecasting

Infor CloudSuite Forecasting automates the calculation of forecasts and other inventory drivers such as safety stock, and alerts you when actual demand varies from the plan. Forecasting is easy to use and implement, and automates the following processes

  • Data Collection
  • Data analysis
  • Forecast calculation and adaptation
  • Calculation of optimum inventory levels
  • Top-down forecasting

Scheduling

  • Schedule production orders, estimate jobs, production schedules generated by MRP or APS
  • Optimize the schedule across the shop floor
  • Support batching, co-products and by-products
  • Prioritize jobs by setting sequence and selection rules
  • View capacity and schedule graphically
  • Drag and drop Gantt Chart scheduling

As with cost, implementation time is also dependent on the same factors mentioned above. LogicData offers multiple implementation methodologies that can be adapted to your specific needs and resource availability. Considering a very basic implementation of just the core functionality of SyteLine, and employing a LogicData managed implementation approach, time to value can be achieved in as little as 3-4 months. A full implementation of all core SyteLine functionality utilizing a standard implementation approach, and assuming full client resource availability, can generally be completed in 6 to 8 months. To determine the best implementation methodology and timeline estimate for your specific situation, please contact us.

The cost of software and implementation will vary based on many factors such as user count, functionality requirements, deployment, implementation methodology, customization, data conversion, integration, and internal resources. However, for a basic configuration of SyteLine annual subscription pricing can begin at approximately $18,000 annually for a minimum of 10 users or a one-time cost of $20,000 plus annual maintenance for a minimum of 5 users in an on-premise deployment. A primarily self-directed implementation of such a basic configuration, although not recommended, can likely be achieved for approximately $30,000. LogicData recommends our standard “train-the-trainer” implementation approach which is estimated to start at roughly $65,000 for a basic implementation. For further information on pricing specific to your needs, please contact us.
